Overview
Our client is seeking an Industry Relations Manager to support stakeholder engagement across a major national energy initiative. This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of a complex and evolving sector, helping to shape engagement strategies and build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Based in either London or Edinburgh, the successful candidate will play a critical role in fostering collaboration across energy suppliers and industry partners, supporting the delivery of large-scale programmes and contributing to a more sustainable energy future.
Responsibilities
• Support the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement strategies across the energy sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Lead and deliver industry relations projects, including research, planning, and execution.
• Monitor industry developments, including regulatory, policy, and operational changes, and assess their impact.
• Provide insights and briefings to internal teams, ensuring clear communication of complex information.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align stakeholder engagement with wider communications and marketing initiatives.
• Represent the organisation in external meetings, forums, and presentations.
• Manage and support junior team members, overseeing performance and development.
Requirements
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, including at a senior level.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical, regulatory, and commercial information clearly and effectively.
• Experience delivering engagement programmes or managing multi-stakeholder projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess industry changes and their implications.
• Experience within the energy sector or a regulated environment is desirable.
• Understanding of marketing and communications functions is advantageous.
