The Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Assistant Chef to join our daytime kitchen team. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in the high-volume preparation, cooking, and portioning of our daily EYFS-compliant menus.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the high-volume, scratch-cooking preparation of our daily menus.
- Carefully prepare and package specific dietary and allergen-safe ("Mirror-Image") meals, strictly adhering to our cross-contamination and safety protocols.
- Accurately portion hot food into specialised thermal delivery containers to meet strict morning dispatch deadlines.
- Support comprehensive daily kitchen cleaning, pot-washing, and sanitisation routines to uphold our flawless EHO compliance standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a commercial kitchen or high-volume catering environment.
- A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and modern allergy management.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
- Highly reliable, energetic, and capable of functioning efficiently within a fast-paced team.
- Available to commence employment immediately.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly preferred.
