What you will do:

Undertake Child and Family Assessments within statutory timescales
-
Manage cases involving safeguarding and child protection concerns
-
Identify risk, analyse complex information, and make sound safeguarding decisions
-
Carry out statutory visits and direct work with children and families
-
Progress cases to CIN, Child Protection, or legal planning as required
-
Prepare clear, analytical, and high-quality reports and case records
-
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children
Person specification:
Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
Registration and compliance:

Registered with Social Work England
-
Enhanced DBS
-
Right to work in the UK
Key skills:

Strong assessment and safeguarding practice skills

Confident risk analysis and decision-making abilities

Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Experience:

Recent experience within Assessment & Safeguarding or Front Door teams

Experience working with child protection thresholds

Proven multi-agency working experience

Local authority experience is essential
