Design Team Leader – Step Into Leadership & Shape the Future of Engineering
Are you an experienced temporary works designer ready to lead, inspire, and drive high performance? We’re looking for a Design Team Leader to guide a skilled team of engineers and technicians, delivering innovative designs across a fast-moving and growing operation.
In this role, you’ll motivate a team of 5, monitor day-to-day performance, ensure deadlines are met, and maintain clear communication with sales teams. You’ll also produce and check complex temporary works designs, attend client meetings, complete site visits, and champion continuous improvement within the engineering discipline.
What you’ll bring:
- HND or degree in civil/structural engineering
- 5+ years’ experience designing temporary works
- Strong capability in groundworks, formwork/falsework, or propping
- A proactive approach to improvement and change
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Bonus points for:
- Experience mentoring or managing small teams
- Commercial or supplier-side experience
- On-site experience
- ICE professional qualification (EngTech / IEng)
