We are seeking a Visa Compliance Administrator to assist with the day-to-day operations of our high-profile Visa Compliance team. This role is essential for delivering service and ensuring thoroughness and due process in managing the risk to our reputation that impinges on the Sponsor Licence for international students.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support various duties and tasks as delegated by the Visa Compliance Teams, such as arranging student appointments, booking staff meetings, and managing the collection/delivery of student Biometrics Residence Permit Cards (BRPs).
- Manage enquiries to the central inboxes, assigning cases to specialists where necessary, and requesting relevant documentation.
- Respond to visa queries via emails/University dashboard and manage the Visa Compliance Team phoneline, redirecting queries appropriately.
- Provide an efficient and welcoming service for students, staff, and external enquirers, specialising in issues related to Visa Compliance and the student application journey.
- Investigate and resolve queries related to enrolment and assist with the preparation and involvement in University enrolment sessions, including the passport and visa scanning process.
- Operate as a Level 1 user on the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Sponsor Management System (SMS) and assist with the reporting and monitoring of international students as required by the Home Office.
- Act as an Authorised Biometrics Residence Card (BRP) handler for the University.
- Produce bespoke letter requests for international students and deal with basic Tuition Fee Assessment queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Educated to GCE A Level or equivalent.
- Experience in administrative work within a busy customer-focused environment.
- Proficient in using database systems for entering, accessing, and monitoring data.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to multitask.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a professional approach to managing sensitive or confidential information.
- Proactive, positive, and enthusiastic, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Ability to work effectively on their own or with others under minimum supervision.
- Strong team player, eager to support colleagues and contribute to the overall effectiveness and responsiveness of the team.
