System Implementation Lead
Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with one of North Yorkshire’s leading manufacturers to appoint a System Implementation Lead based at their Leeming Bar site.
You will lead and implement the development of their new Learning Management System (LMS- specifically Cornerstone) and e-learning platform. You will be vital in driving this project forward and engaging with internal stakeholders to ensure the project is completed to the highest standard within the agreed time frame.
The overall role of the LMS will be to make learning accessible, consistent and scalable. The individual in this role will act as a subject matter expert, providing support and training across the organisation to ensure all employees understand and are knowledgeable in the new LMS, driving engagement in training and development across the business and embedding best-practise learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Being accountable for delivering the LMS implementation project – including the test, pilot and live phases.
- Working autonomously to make decisions and problem solve to ensure the project is completed successfully.
- Own the project implementation plan, ensuring that progress is made on actions within timeframes agreed.
- Lead regular project update meetings with key stakeholders and maintain centralised project documentation.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements are consistently met.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of ‘train-the-trainer’ programmes in partnership with departmental training administrators.
- Coordinate system testing protocols to ensure all integrations function seamlessly.
- Customise system pages, dashboards, or templates using HTML as part of configuration activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HTML-related display or formatting issues within the system.
- Act as the system owner post-implementation, ensuring ongoing platform updates, enhancements, and maintenance activities are effectively managed.
- Maintain audit readiness by keeping training records, compliance logs, and system documentation accurate and up to date.
- Ensure that any changes made to the project plan are managed to a high standard. Ensure all risks are identified, monitored and escalated.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of the new LMS implementation, adjusting the project plan when required to optimise the performance of the system.
- Plan and implement Go Live and Post Go Live activities to drive engagement amongst the workforce to ensure the implementation is a success.
- Provide regular and up-to-date reports to the senior management team.
- Ensure that the LMS platform is fully compliant with data protection regulations, accessibility standards and technical e-learning standards.
- Liaise with stakeholders on platform change and improvements.
- Provide continuous improvement to the LMS as this is an ongoing process – keep training relevant, effective and aligned to the organisations evolving needs.
- Advise on system capabilities, limitations and design options to support decisions related to the LMS.
- Support the organisation with setting up learning content within the LMS.
- Proactively gather employee feedback throughout the project lifecycle to identify improvements.
- Develop and maintain system guides and user documentation to help employees navigate the LMS.
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience of managing LMS (Essential)
- Proficiency in HTML (HyperText Markup Language) for configuring, customising, and maintaining system interfaces, forms and workflows (Essential)
- Experience of building effective relationships with stakeholders (Essential)
- An understanding of data protection legislation and GDPR (Essential)
- High level of IT literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint (Essential)
- Excellent communication, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills (Essential)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced delivery environment while maintaining attention to detail (Essential)
- Demonstrated experience working with high levels of autonomy (Desirable)
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical colleagues (Desirable)
- Experience producing documentation and delivering user training (Desirable)
- Experience of project management (Desirable)
