About the Role
REED is delighted to be recruiting for a skilled and motivated Estimator to join a respected and growing organisation within the construction sector. This role is ideal for someone with solid estimating experience in housebuilding/home build (minimum 2–3 years) who is looking to take the next step in their career.
You will work closely with project and contracts teams, reviewing enquiries, completing detailed take-offs, and preparing accurate estimates for client submission. This position offers a varied workload, a collaborative team environment, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in home build / residential construction
- Strong estimating capability with proven construction knowledge
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience managing sales handovers
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and other project management tools
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work collaboratively across multiple teams
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting tender submissions
- Reviewing enquiries and producing detailed material take-offs
- Liaising between project and contracts teams to ensure smooth sales handovers
- Highlighting inefficiencies and contributing to continuous improvement
- Ensuring estimates are accurate, timely, and ready for client submission
