Big Brother Naija is a Nigerian reality Television show, where housemates are voted, in which between 12 to 26 housemates live in an isolated house and compete for an ultimate price which is worth 100,000,000 (One Hundred million naira) equivalent to $138,888.89, and other material gifts such as cars and endorsement deals. Housemates are voted and those with the lowest votes are evicted from the show. The show is broadcast on DSTV and GOTV on the Big Brother Naija channel.
- Season one of the show was won by Katung Aduwak and also featured Ebuka who is one of the most popular housemates and currently the host of the reality show.
- The second season of Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija) premiered 11 years after the first season when Efe Ejeba with the popular slogan āBased on Logisticsā emerged winner in 2017.
- Miracle Igbokwe from Imo State emerged as winner of the season 3 in 2018. Mercy Eke (Lambo) emerged as the winner of the fourth edition (season 4) held in 2019.
- Laycon emerged winner of the season 5 edition of the Big Brother Naija Lock Down edition held between July and October 2020. He was rewarded with prizes worth 80 million naira.
- The season 6 edition which was tagged āLock Downā was won by Whitemoney and he received a grand prize of 90 million naira. The grand finale of the season 6 edition was held on October, 3rd 2021. The finalists include Liquorose, Pere, Cross, Angel, and Emmanuel.
- Phyna emerged winner of the season 7 edition of the Big Brother Naija Level-up edition held between July and October 2022. She was rewarded with prizes worth 100 million naira.
- Ilebaye won the All Stars edition of the Big Brother Naija held between July and October 2023. She was rewarded with prizes worth 120 million naira.

Here are the steps to audition for Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9:
- Stay natural, donāt force it, keep it fun!
- Make a 3-minute video as a dynamic duo (together or separately); but it must be a single video.
- Upload your video according to the audition details.
- Ensure you use a very high-quality phone camera to make the video attractive enough for the panel to watch.
- Hold the camera firmly to avoid a blurry video output and if necessary, you can record with light to ensure your video is not dark and your face is well seen.
- If you notice any error in the video, you can quickly edit it or redo another video to stand a better chance of winning the audition.
- Once you are done with the video recording and editing, log on toĀ africamagic.tv/bbauditionĀ to fill out the online registration form and upload your video.
- If, in reviewing your form, any inconsistency in your BioData or deliberate withholding of information that is very relevant to your personality is noticed, you may be disqualified from the selection process.
- It is important to also note here that if you apply for the reality TV show audition, you will need to grant the organizer of the event to conduct civil, criminal, medical and other types of background check they deemed fit.
- If you are selected for the next phase, you will be contacted via email. So, make sure your email address is correct and check your email to see if you qualify.
- All selected applicants will receive an email notification if they have been selected for the next phase of the audition.
- If you do not receive an email by the stipulated date, you have not been selected.

- The house is extensively outfitted with video and audio recording devices that will record, broadcast and exhibit your actions and voice at all times, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in every room and space in the house for the duration of your participation in the contest.
- You will be observed at all times by the Producer and the public watching on television, the internet, mobile devices, and all other media.

Big Brother Naija Audition Tips
When the Big Brother Naija producers select you for the next phase of the auditions, you must be ready to avail yourself of a video or physical interview.
- Get to the audition venue as early as possible.
- Be sure you are in excellent physical and mental health.
- Be neat and presentable.
- Put on a confident look and make sure you have something you want to sell. Timidity can overcloud your talents and render your inner creativity unnoticed, so you must make sure you work on your level of confidence before heading for the show.
- Avoid carrying unnecessary stuff. Vital items only (International passports and phones).
- Come with a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
- Pay attention and obey all on-ground rules and instructions.
- Take a lot of energy and swag with you to the audition.
- Be honest as much as possible.
- You will need to stand out among the crowd by simply doing something different from the rest since many people with talents will surface at the selection stage.
- Be yourself at the audition, donāt be who you are not. Donāt change your diction because you want to be acceptable by the panelist. If you are a Nigerian with no foreign history, donāt claim you are American-born Nigerian so to speak.
- What the panel is looking out for is your sincerity and who you really are, which will eventually spring up and be exposed during the cause of the show.
- Answering questions correctly during the selection process is very important. Provide an answer to questions asked uniquely. Donāt just answer questions verbatim.
How to Win Big Brother Naija Competition
To be sincere, your fate on the BB Naija reality TV show is completely up to you.
