Accounts Assistant – Commercial Property – SE London – Up to £32k
Weβre working with a well established Property Management company who oversee Residential and Commercial Properties across London.
Within their Accounts Team, which collects and processes Rents, Ground Rents & Service Charges for Landlords and Freeholders, they now seek an Accounts Assistant as follows:
– Initially office based to start, moving to hybrid (2 days from home) once settled and up to speed with systems/expectations
– Offices are modern and newly refurbished, within walking distance of Waterloo station
– Working alongside the wider accounts team which is diverse, friendly, supportive and very social
– Dealing with the collection and processing of Rents (from LET commercial properties) and service charges from leasehold blocks under management
– Liaison with leaseholders, commercial tenants, freeholders, Landlords and HMRC, acting as first point of contact for email and telephone queries
– Daily/Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
– Producing monthly/quarterly statements
– HMRC returns and reporting
– Providing accounting data for year-end accounts/audit
– You will need 1 years property accounting experience, ideally in a commercial setting (the workload is more commercially biased than residential)
– Experience of (or basic exposure to) QUBE would be beneficial. Good all round IT awareness is essential.
For the successful Accounts Assistant, remuneration will include a basic salary up to £32k to start alongside encouragement and funding for professional development and a genuine career path.
