Overview:
Hardman Grey Recruitment are currently seeking a Joiner/ Cabinet Maker on behalf of our manufacturing client.
The Joiner/ Cabinet Maker will be responsible for:
- Using a high level of joinery skills to make furniture
- Reading and understanding construction drawings
- Operating wood machinery and be qualified to do so
- Applying secondary materials such as inlays, metal trims, glass and leather
- Selecting, cutting, jointing and pressing using a hydraulic press and bag press
The ideal Joiner / Cabinet Maker candidate will have:
- Understanding of design and fine detail
- Knowledge of cabinet jointing and assembly using power tool jointers
- Knowledge of installing fittings, drawer runners, hinges and architectural ironmongery
- Experience with a wide range of timbers, veneers, substrates and manufactured boards
- High personal standards for presentation of work
- Good communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
