Digital Workplace Architect
Key Responsibilities:
Desktop Architecture Strategy:
- 
Develop and maintain a comprehensive desktop architecture strategy aligned with the organization’s business objectives and IT standards.
 - 
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and standard processes in desktop architecture and incorporate them into the strategy.
 - 
Collaborate with team members to define desktop infrastructure requirements, performance objectives, and scalability plans.
 
Design and Implementation:
- 
Own the design and implementation of desktop infrastructure, including physical and virtual desktops, operating systems, software deployment, and patch management.
 - 
Define standards and guidelines for hardware and software configurations, ensuring consistency, compatibility, and security across the desktop environment.
 - 
Collaborate with security teams to ensure desktop infrastructure meets established security policies and compliance requirements.
 
Technology Evaluation and Selection:
- 
Evaluate and select appropriate desktop technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve end-user productivity, user experience, and overall system performance.
 - 
Conduct proof of concept (POC) testing to validate the suitability and effectiveness of new technologies before integration into the desktop environment.
 - 
Stay informed about industry trends and new technologies related to desktop architecture, evaluating their potential impact and benefits.
 
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
- 
Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex desktop infrastructure issues, working closely with IT support teams to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
 - 
Analyze system logs, performance metrics, and user feedback to identify and address performance bottlenecks, stability issues, and user experience concerns.
 - 
Develop and implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms to identify and resolve potential desktop infrastructure problems.
