Finance Assistant

Join our client’s team as a Finance Assistant, where you will support the smooth operation of our finance function. This role is perfect for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and looking to broaden their experience in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process supplier invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and resolve any related queries.
- Raise sales invoices and accurately allocate incoming payments.
- Run the weekly payroll and support all payroll-related queries.
- Maintain the cash book and complete regular bank reconciliations.
- Assist with the month-end close process, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support cost and margin analysis within the profit and loss account.
- Assist in VAT return preparation when required.
- Provide additional finance support as the business continues to expand.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with Sage 50 is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong Excel skills.
