Lead From the Front. Build From the Ground Up. Change a Life.
Are you ready to open and lead a brand-new solo children’s home and truly make your mark?
We are looking for an ambitious, compassionate Registered Manager to lead the way in Mansfield.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a high-quality, therapeutic home from day one, providing focused, trauma-informed care for one child with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
Whether you’re an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready for your next step, this is your chance to build something meaningful with full backing from a supportive Senior Leadership Team.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Registered Manager, you will:
Lead the Ofsted registration process and oversee the successful launch of the home
Recruit, develop, and inspire a small, dedicated therapeutic team
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing solo environment tailored to one child’s needs
Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards
Build strong partnerships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
Embed a culture of stability, reflection, and long-term positive outcomes
This is leadership with purpose — where your decisions directly shape a child’s future.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a resilient and child-centred leader who believes in therapeutic, trauma-informed care.
Essential:
Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in children’s residential care (EBD/solo experience desirable)
Strong knowledge of legislation, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Ofsted frameworks
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete)
Ability to create positive culture and strong team dynamics
Passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Enhanced DBS (required upon offer)
What We Offer
We believe great leadership deserves great support.
Competitive salary: £50,000 – £60,000
Performance-related bonus up to £6,000 per year (based on Ofsted rating, compliance & occupancy)
Additional on-call payments
30 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
40-hour contract (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm)
Option to complete Level 7 qualification
Ongoing CPD including therapeutic and leadership training
A supportive and experienced Senior Management Team
