This role is crucial in providing administrative support across various departments, ensuring efficient operations within the Faculty. You will work closely with the Business Support Officer to manage day-to-day administrative tasks related to finance and HR, contributing significantly to the smooth functioning of the Schools/Institutes.
Day-to-day of the role:

Finance Administration:
- Raise purchase orders and goods receipt accurately and efficiently, adhering to School and University procedures.
- Manage the day-to-day handling of expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and timely processing.
- Act as the first point of contact for routine finance queries from staff, providing guidance on procedures and escalating complex issues to the Business Support Officer.
- Assist with the maintenance of financial records and filing systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Support the Business Support Officer in preparing basic financial reports and summaries as required.

HR Administration:
- Provide administrative support for the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, and leaver processes.
- Manage the accurate recording and processing of staff-related information, such as absence, training, and performance management documentation.
- Conduct necessary pre-employment checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Right to Work).
- Serve as the initial point of contact for routine HR queries, offering guidance and escalating complex matters.

General Administrative Support:
- Undertake other administrative duties as required by the Business Support Officer and the needs of the School/Institute.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within a higher education or similar professional setting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and central teams.
- Proficiency in financial and HR administrative tasks.
- Familiarity with university procedures and regulations is highly advantageous.
